Slovenian TET, second attempt

Long time no blog :-)

The trip started after a full day of work. 

I carefully prepared and packed everything during the week, so that the only thing I would need to do after work today, was to gear up and go. 

I had a short look at the traffic conditions, before starting and it wasn't looking good, made some adjustments to the route to avoid the worst and of I went to meet a friend at a junction south of Munich near Irschenberg. Then we moved on trying to avoid the massive traffic congestion in south direction and through Austria, arriving in Slovenia at night fall. 

Spent the night in Kranjska Gora and on the next morning moved on through the Triglav national park until Žaga where we first entered the TET track.

It looks like the track changed a lot since I last drove it in 2020, the first 100 kms are all paved having the first off road contact in the Batuje area.

We were fearing for the worse regarding muddy trails, due the huge amount of rain that had fall in the previous weeks, at the end it wasn't as bad as expected but there was enough mud to get stuck and sweat.

We continued the track in direction Trieste until we reached the view points on the edge of the plateau, the trails to get there are mainly full of stones with a single track somewhere in between.

After enjoying the different view points along the way, we spent the night in Sežana.

The next day we rejoined the track near the highway, partially single trails with bad visibility where you'd need some speed but if you can't see if someone is riding the track in the other direction it makes things risky, after my partner dropped its bike twice we decided to turn around as we didn't knew what was to come and both bikes are quite heavy and difficult to pick up.

Shortly after we left the track, we stopped for a coffee where I saw that my left foot was wet from what it looked to be oil. 

I walked over to my bike and found the left engine side full of oil, apparently on the last single trail we did near the highway a stone must have come flown from the front wheel and hit the engine on its weakest spot, puncturing it.
